Placement locations
The University is based in Hatfield, Hertfordshire. Clinical placements take place across Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire, and some areas of Essex. This post forms part of an NHS funded clinical psychology training programme and involves significant travel across the training region. The role requires the post holder to travel independently, reliably, and in a timely manner to attend the university, placement base(s), and other placement locations, including community settings and clients’ places of residence. While some elements of training or placement activity may be delivered remotely or within single base clinic settings, this does not remove the overall requirement to meet the role’s travel demands. For some placements, travel by public transport is not practicable, and in practice this requirement is typically met by holding a full driving licence and having access to a vehicle. Reasonable adjustments will be considered in line with the Equality Act 2010; however, the post holder must be able to meet the essential travel requirements of the role.
