After you apply

All offers of a place on a course are dependent on criminal record and other checks required for working with children and vulnerable adults.

There may be further requirements such as successful completion of academic qualifications, providing satisfactory references etc. Please see the information given by the course when they made you the offer for details of the conditions that apply.

Responding to offers

Once a course has confirmed the outcome of their interviews with us, if you have been offered a place your application will change to "Place Offered".

  • If you are offered a place on or before 31 May 2024
  • YOU MUST RESPOND by 2.00pm on 7 June 2024
  • Please login and choose Accept or Decline

If you are offered a place after 31 May 2024 you have 7 days to respond.

Some courses also require you to contact them direct e.g. to email confirmation to them or to return signed paperwork. Please check their requirements in the information they send you when they make an offer.

Please think carefully before accepting an offer of a place.

  • You cannot accept more than one offer, regardless of the conditions attached to the offer.
  • All acceptances are final: once you accept an offer you are committed to that course and cannot go elsewhere.
  • If you try to accept more than one offer, all offers may be withdrawn.
  • If you do not respond by the deadline, all offers may be withdrawn.

If you accept an offer of a place from one course any ongoing applications with other courses will be cancelled:

  • offers will be withdrawn
  • you will be removed from reserve lists
  • your interviews will be cancelled

We will email you to confirm your acceptance of a place and the cancellation of your other applications. Your email software may treat our emails as junk or spam, so please check your Junk Email folder and/or Spam Email folder regularly.

You are not required to accept any offer of a place before 7 June 2024. However, if you know before then that you want to decline an offer, please do so as soon as possible. The course can then offer the place to someone on their reserve list for whom that course may be their first choice.

Reserve lists for offers

If your application is "Reserve for Offer" you are on a reserve list for that course. Reserve lists allow courses to fill places when an offer is declined.

If a place becomes available for you, the course will contact you by email or by phone and give you further details. Your email software may treat emails from the courses as junk or spam, so please check your Junk Email folder and/or Spam Email folder regularly. The course will also update your application from "Reserve for Offer" to "Place Offered".

If you are on the reserve list of your first choice course but have offers from other courses, please do not accept an offer until the deadline (although please decline any offers you definitely do not want as above). Courses do use their reserve lists during the week 3-7 June.

If you wish to withdraw from a reserve list, on your Overview screen choose Withdraw for the appropriate course(s) and click Confirm Action. Confirming will automatically inform the course(s) concerned.
