Funding
- Trainee posts are funded by Health Education and Improvement, Wales (HEIW), who pay the university fees as well as the trainee’s salaries.
- There are currently 15 training places per annum.
- Trainees are full-time employees of Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board and have annual leave and other benefits in line with usual NHS entitlements.
- On entry to the programme, regardless of previous roles within the NHS, all trainees are paid on the first spine point of Band 6 of the Agenda for Change pay scales.
- There is a job description and person specification for a trainee clinical psychology post at the North Wales Clinical Psychology Programme (see our website).
- Travel costs will be paid from a clinical base, which is agreed for the duration of the training.
- Payment towards overnight accommodation, during placement, may also be available where this would be more cost-effective than daily travel.
- Due to funding regulations and restrictions, we cannot consider applications from candidates who do not have the EU Settlement Scheme (settled and pre-settled status) or Settled/Indefinite Leave to Remain (ILR) in the UK.
- Candidates from EU, other EEA and Swiss Nationals, will need to have been granted settled status in the UK.
